Last October, I was thrilled to get to be able to speak at [DevOps Days Newcastle](http://devopsdaysnewy.org/ "DevOps Days Newcastle") on the factors that go into creating structural change in our businesses, from the on-the-ground point of view of a developer.

My keynote as extremely well-received, touching on the major issues with communicating _why_ a change should happen, and how, as technical people, we can struggle with conveying the importance.
